Parkland’s Geriatric team provides many services for patients age 65 and older. Our Geriatric staff understands the special medical needs of seniors and is specially trained to manage their health concerns and help them stay healthy. Their popular transportation Houston Trans LLC service grew and in 2001 the agency obtained its first lift equipped bus to accommodate the needs of local seniors. CARS was created to alleviate loneliness and give back autonomy to senior citizens and those that are disabled when they can no longer drive themselves. If you are wheelchair-bound, you will not be able to use our transportation services, but you can use grocery delivery services.
