Practically anything that your project  may require is available raw timber flooring from AusTimber. Hardwood flooring is more than just beautiful — it’s a smart investment. Real wood adds long-term value to your home and complements nearly any style, from modern to rustic.

This is normal and may include fine surface checking, gaps between boards and changes in colour over time. A high-level blend of grades, Prestige contains all the Select Grade and the upper part of Standard grade. This grade offers subtle features, including gum veins, natural pinholes and various  other features. Slightly more features in size and quantity than Select grade can be expected in Prestige Grade.
Every piece of wood is carefully selected to meet industry standards and customer expectations. My experience with the Lion King flooring team was amazing. Even with a language barrier between me and Ying, the job was still completed successfully. They are precise, quick and very experienced with their work. Ying and his co-worker really did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a new floor.
Hardwood floors add timeless beauty, durability, and value to any home. Whether you’re renovating, building new, or upgrading your floors, choosing the right hardwood flooring is essential. The Oak planks are manufactured from sustainable Real Oak timber combining a 6 mm solid Oak wear layer engineered onto a 15 mm plywood substrate. This trusted method of construction provides a long wearing, stable and durable floor with a finished thickness of 21mm. It’s perfectly suited for residential, multi-residential and commercial applications. Our extensive showroom showing the widest range of solid timber and laminate flooring samples.

Select grade, water-resistant and durable Australian engineered timber flooring. Renovator Auctions provides a detailed overview of the different types of wood that is used to make hardwood. Wood floors have been used in homes for generations and they are timeless and elegant. The hardwood species that are used are maple, oak, birch, elm, chestnut, cherry, hickory and more.
As world population continues to grow and demand for timber can only increase due to more houses getting built, it is only natural for timber prices to continue to rise over time. Unlike laminated flooring, the wide oak boards you buy from us would usually take 50 to 150 years to grow before they are logged, processed and made into timber flooring. It’s important to be aware that you’re not just buying floorboards. You’re purchasing something that is old and unique, a part of history. And because every tree grows differently and varies in character, your floor will be individual and only be one of its kind. Because of this uniqueness, there is a mismatch between demand and supply.

We do onsite inspection to enable us to evaluate the costs and advise you as to what product best suits your home or office. We think it’s essential for our customers to know first-hand everything they need to know about our products. Even with care and maintenance, sometimes life happens! Afterwards, coloured putty is used to plug these holes. Given that edging equipment sands right up to walls, we recommend not installing skirting boards. In the case of existing timber floors, we remove or punch down adhesives, old nails, carpet underlay and staples, making repairs or replacements of boards as required. Sanding does not commence until preparation is complete, and the first  cut is typically done with coarse-grit sandpaper to flatten out the floor. Our experienced installers complement the top of the range quality products that we use.

The flooring that they provided is amazing and the service is of a high quality. Have had Gerry install my parquet flooring 15 years ago and its still looks great today. Recently had Gerry assist me with a floating floor enquiry and he was as knowledgeable now as he was 15yrs ago. Great product provided and his bulk prices were also the cheapest, easily beating the competition. Engineered hardwoods are a bit easier to lay since they use a floating installation method of interlocking boards. Hardwoods, on the other hand, can take a bit longer with a direct installation to the subfloor with glue and nails.
Veneers come in many thicknesses from .6mm to 6mm, with 3-4mm being the average. Engineered Timber Flooring generally has only a ¼ or less of the species of timber that is used as it’s face than Solid Timber does. Solid timber as the name implies is a solid piece of timber cut from a log that is then profiled and ready to use as timber flooring. Profiles will vary, depending on whether the timber is to be stuck, top-nailed or secret nailed.
