Once inside it’s decorated in a sumptuous Japanese style, and has tables with built in grills for all your teppanyaki needs. Give everything a go – they offer classic sushi bar options, as well as an insane range of weird and wonderful yakitoris. If you want to enjoy nice service, you should visit this place. You will appreciate the spectacular decor and pretty atmosphere of this spot. This restaurant has got Google 4.7 according to the guests' opinions. The meals cost anywhere between $220-$300 pesos (again it’s not too bad comparatively). Our friends, Dom and Tara, went here twice for dinner and they loved it so much we went back to Trattoria La Pasta Montejo for his birthday treat! Petit Delice is located about 20 minutes from the city center but it is worth the drive!

You  can also sit at the table or at the bar where you can interact with chef Hiroaki Sato while he prepares the dishes. Kuro Uma is open from lunchtime to 11pm, and it is located on the lower floor of the building Bujan next to San Angelo, in north city. This is one of Mexico City’s top restaurants, never mind top Japanese restaurants. With a few branches across the city, Tori Tori Temistocles is definitely the one you want to try and visit if you enjoy architecture as much as you enjoy food.
This French-style mansion is actually privately owned, so you can’t go in; however, you can snap some photos through the gate, like I did in the photo above. If you’re looking to pick up some Merida souvenirs and traditional Mayan handicrafts, Merida en Domingo is the perfect palace. Head to La Chaya Maya, one of the most popular restaurants in Merida Centro. There are two locations, but the La Chaya Maya Casona location on Calle 55 is much prettier. In each kitchen, you’ll learn about the three recados used throughout traditional Yucatan cuisine to give it a unique taste.
The menu is exciting for anyone that loves Italian cuisine and the staff? When you dine at Kuuk, you’re in for an elegant dining experience. From the sophisticated plate designs to the quality of produce for each meal, Kuuk is one of the best restaurants in Restaurante japonés Merida for high-end dining. I was there on a Monday - lots of fish options were not on the menu - so there was limited options available unfortunately.  Owner Adriana, whose attention to detail shows across the whole concept, is a longtime dumplings lover.

The service is wonderful, and they always have the latest trends in sushi going. 3/5 is actually generous, but I’m being considerate to the fact that fresh salmon would be difficult to obtain in this part of the world and the restaurant itself is beautifully designed. I’ve spent a lot of time in Japan so I might be holding Miyabi to a higher standard than I should given where we are. The sashimi actually had an ok flavour, but it was obviously from frozen. Again, I can forgive this given where we’re located but it’s definitely an adjustment to have salmon lacking the precision and firmness I’m used to.
It makes for one of the most popular Merida photo spots, especially with the Merida Cathedral in the background. In case you didn’t know, Merida real estate is stunning! If you’re not a morning person, there’s also a nighttime Merida bike ride on Saturday nights called Biciruta Nocturna. On weekends, this is one of the top Merida attractions, great for fitness and people-watching. If you’re looking for things to do Sunday in Merida, the BiciRuta is it.

Cafeteria Impala, a favorite among locals that’s located at the intersection of Calle 47 and Paseo Montejo. If you don’t want a full meal, opt for tapas, desserts and drinks at what’s undoubtedly the best rooftop bar in Merida. For the best views of the cathedral, enjoy dinner on the outdoor patio at Picheta. Nowadays, you can watch a reenactment of this ballgame on Saturday nights, from about 8 pm-9 pm, in front of the Cathedral.
Do not be surprised if you get lost in this bustling complex. One of the best things about dining at this Merida restaurant staple is the alfresco dining where you can eat and overlook the bypassers of Paseo de Montejo. It’s located at the beginning of Paseo Montejo street so after having a great brunch, you can stroll along the beautiful streets of Merida. This sushi restaurant has a great vibe and specializes in Asian cuisine with a Yucatan flair.

You could easily fill up on one of the incredibly reasonable sets for ¥2,000 or ¥2,500, or just order à la carte. The anago ippon-nigiri, a nearly whole fillet of sea eel brushed with sweet-and-savory soy sauce, draped over a hefty mouthful of rice, is the restaurant's signature. It's not fine dining, but the food is simple, unfussy, and satisfying. Its name translates literally to “sushi shop,” but Sushi-ya is far from ordinary.
This was two-minute noodles that were over cooked and clumped together. Beside the noodles being from a packet, the rest of the dish was seemingly random ingredients stir fried in, which included dry chicken and chewy squid. Basically, I wouldn’t even call this meal yakisoba at all. The perfect blend between, tasty food, Asian atmosphere and music, soft lighting and music make it the perfect place to have a good dinner and talk.

“It’s like mole,” Monserrat would tell her acquaintances to  persuade them to order food from Curry House. It must have worked, because Curry House began to grow. And in Mérida, a new wave of family-run, Asian cuisine spots are on the rise. Roberto has since added ramen and sweet baos sections to his menu. Other items that he recommends to first-timers are the duck and the brisket baos. She sticks to a traditional style, and the bites are balanced and beautiful. The food here is all on point , but we especially like Ishizaka's beautifully crafted otsumami small bites that go beyond the usual grilled and simmered fish dishes common to other sushi-ya. Ishikawa pairs sweet crab with blanched rape blossoms and two kinds of fish roe, and shrimp with maitake mushroom and lotus root.
