Found that the deer pin doesn’t imprint as well as the snowflake rolling pin. Maybe because the images are smaller. I chilled the rolling pins while the dough was chilling, and also oiled the rolling pin before rolling the dough,to cut down on sticking to the pin. I suggest you include a note to thoroughly wash the rolling pins before use.
I oiled the pin and in the end lots and lots of flour on everything seemed to keep it from sticking. I did get some nice imprints though and used a round cookie reindeer rolling pin cutter to create the round cookie. They were very tasty and looked lovely. I think including a recipe in with the pin would be an idea for the future.
